MANIFESTO AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

Gender-based violence is not new, but it is a problem that is deeply rooted in the structures of our society. That is why it must be fought from childhood, from families, from classrooms and from educational centres. Any step towards equality and respect constitutes progress in eliminating this terrible social scourge. And it is the duty of all of us to denounce and try to avoid this type of situation.

Since 2020, there have been 40 cases of women victims of gender violence in our country. Although if we talk about femicide in general, the number is double that; and 80 women have been murdered so far this year. Since 2003, when deaths from gender violence began to be recorded, the number of victims has risen to 1,073.

Therefore, from the IES "Rafael Pérez Estrada" we want to express our complete repulsion towards violence in general and towards gender violence in particular.

We want you to remember that no one is anyone's property; that confusing love with possession is the first step to a toxic relationship. Never allow anyone to hurt you, even if they tell you it is out of love. Love cannot be confused with pain. Loving does not cause suffering.

Don't look away. There is a number where you can file a complaint: 016. And it is everyone's obligation to put an end to this violence.

 

DESDE EL ÁREA DE BILINGÜISMO, hemos trabajado en varias asignaturas y niveles. Aquí dejamos unas muestras:

En clase de Lengua de 2°C, con Belén Marín, su profesora de lengua, escuchamos la canción 'La puerta violeta' de Rozalén. 

Reflexionamos y debatimos sobre el significado de su letra,  la violencia de género y la importancia de 'expresar' y 'gritar' cuando se sufre esta situación. Los alumnos y alumnas crearon y abrieron su propia puerta violeta. Como ejemplo, las creadas por Claudia Estévez, Irene Rodríguez y Paula Doblas.
